Our process

Your journey with Coastal Respiratory and Sleep typically begins with a consultation with one of our specialists. This can take place in person at our Pimpama or Southport locations, or via telehealth through a video conference. We encourage you to bring a family member or friend to the consultation, whether it is in person or virtual.

We also offer inpatient care for those admitted to Gold Coast Private Hospital, Pindara Private Hospital and John Flynn Hospital.

During your first consultation, you will have the chance to discuss your health concerns in detail. Our specialists will ask a series of questions to gain a thorough understanding of your current condition and any issues you are facing. We will also review any available test results, such as X-rays, CT scans, or sleep studies, and explain the findings.

Together, we will assess your health and identify any areas needing further attention. We will collaborate with you to create an action plan, which may involve additional tests, such as bronchoscopy or sleep studies, or a discussion of treatment options.

Our mission is to empower and educate you about your health, providing clear treatment choices so you can make informed decisions about your care. We understand that these decisions can sometimes be complex, and we are here to guide and support you every step of the way.

Please note that a referral from your GP or specialist is required before your initial consultation.
